About Alaya
Hi! I’m Alaya, an actress and theater student at Howard University. I’ve been acting since I was five years old and have experience in television, voice-over, and stage performance. Some of my credits include appearing in a Mother’s Day sketch on Saturday Night Live, as well as roles on Jessica Jones and The Daily Show. I’m currently represented by Stewart Talent in New York and Clear Talent Group in California. Along with acting, I work behind the scenes in my theater program as a Costume Shop Manager. I love helping other actors grow, build confidence, and learn real techniques used in the industry.

Hi! I’m Alaya, a working actress and theater student at Howard University. I’ve been acting for years and have experience in television, voice-over, and stage performance. Some of my credits include appearing in a Mother’s Day sketch on Saturday Night Live, as well as roles on Jessica Jones and The Daily Show. Being on real sets and going through professional auditions has taught me a lot about what it takes to feel confident and prepared as an actor.
In my lessons, students will learn the Ivana Chubbuck Technique, a powerful acting method used by many professional actors to create truthful, emotionally connected performances. I’ll teach you how to break down scripts, make strong character choices, and use your emotions to drive your performance.
My lessons are fun, supportive, and creative. We can work on monologues, audition prep, cold reads, character development, and building confidence both on stage and on camera. Whether you’re just starting out or preparing for an audition, my goal is to help you feel confident, prepared, and excited about acting.
