About Dami
As a HSPS undergraduate with three A* A-Levels in English Literature, Psychology, and Economics. I strongly commit to results, ambition, and versatility in my tutoring practice. My experience in team dynamics allows me to foster engaging discussions and develop ideas that lead to mutually beneficial outcomes.
My passion for tutoring stems from my academic achievements—especially my A* in Psychology—and a genuine desire to share knowledge that empowers others. I find great fulfillment in helping students build confidence in their abilities and creating a supportive environment where they can thrive. Tutoring challenges me to refine my pedagogical and communication skills, as I adapt to diverse learning styles. I tutor AQA A Level Psychology, specifically Social Influence, Attachment, Psychopathology, Approaches and Forensic Psychology topics.
My tutoring approach is dedicated to customizing lessons based on each student’s strengths and weaknesses, ensuring that we foster active engagement, curiosity, and critical thinking while tackling challenging concepts. I incorporate exam questions, effective techniques, model answers, and detailed checklists to help students identify areas of confidence and those needing improvement. A key focus is understanding the AQA mark scheme, particularly for the critical 16-mark questions, enabling students to strategize effectively for exams. I believe in empowering students to take ownership of their learning in a supportive environment where they feel safe to ask questions, embrace mistakes, and cultivate a growth mindset. This holistic approach creates an intellectually enriching experience that helps students achieve their desired grades.
