About Jim
I am an Aerospace Engineering Master’s student at Imperial College London with several years of proven tutoring experience and current industry experience at Airbus. I have taught mathematics to large classes at Think Academy, worked one-to-one with school and university students, and coached applicants for competitive Imperial and Oxbridge interviews. My background allows me to teach a wide range of subjects, from A-Level Maths and Physics to undergraduate engineering modules such as Aerodynamics and Structures. My lessons are structured, engaging, and carefully tailored to each student’s individual goals and level. I teach A-Level Maths and Physics, GCSE mathematics, undergraduate engineering subjects such as Aerodynamics, Structures, Mechanics, and Calculus, as well as university admissions and interview preparation for Imperial and Oxbridge applicants. I focus on building deep conceptual understanding rather than memorisation, using clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and practical examples drawn from my studies at Imperial and my industry experience at Airbus. Lessons can be tailored towards exam preparation, coursework support, interview coaching, or long-term skill development. I provide personalised practice materials, detailed feedback, and targeted exam techniques to ensure steady progress. Above all, I aim to help students gain confidence, think independently, and achieve their full academic potential.
