About Alex
Hi there! I’m Alex, and I’m here to help make your learning journey smoother and more enjoyable. I’ve always had a passion for breaking down complex topics, which started back when I used to help my classmates in school. Since then, I’ve built up a solid background in mathematics, computer science, and engineering, earning a Distinction in my Master’s at Imperial College and a First-Class Bachelor’s from Bristol University.
I know that learning can sometimes feel overwhelming, so my goal is to make things easier by focusing on the core understanding first. I like to simplify tricky concepts, work through real-life examples, and make sure you feel confident in what you’re learning. And the best part? I don’t just want to help you with today’s problem—I want to show you how to tackle future challenges on your own, so you can become a more independent learner.
Whether you’re prepping for GCSEs, A-Levels, or working through your university courses, I’ll tailor each session to fit your needs and learning style. I’ve helped many students before, and I’m excited to help you too!

My approach to tutoring became clear when I started helping my classmates back in school. I believe comprehension and learning are key, and I always start from the student’s perspective, focusing on three core aspects:
- I assist in distilling key information from extensive texts and help identify what the student fully understands and where gaps in knowledge exist.
- I find learning by examples to be the most effective. Real understanding comes when students apply knowledge to practical examples, helping them grasp concepts more deeply.
My goal is not only to tutor but to teach students how to learn.
- I guide them in thinking through problems from broad concepts to finer details and show them how to become self-sufficient learners without constant tutoring.
Before working professionally in the Technology Industry, I actively supported fellow students at university. I hold a strong academic record in mathematics, computer science, and algorithm research, having graduated with a Distinction in a Master of Science from Imperial College and a First-Class Bachelor of Engineering from Bristol University.
A typical session lasts 2 hours, with thorough, customized preparation beforehand. I’m open to tutoring students from GCSE to undergraduate levels, offering support in:

Alex helped me prepare for and pass my final exam in Optical and Wireless Communication during my MSc. I found him through a friend's recommendation, and I was pleasantly surprised by how patient he was and how well he knew what areas to focus on. We had a total of 4 hours of sessions, and he made the difficult concepts and calculations much clearer by using drawings, explanations, and breaking down the complex problems.
