About Ivan
Tutoring Bio With over 10 years of experience tutoring Mathematics and Computer Science across school, college, and university levels, I bring both academic expertise and real-world industry knowledge to my lessons. I hold both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from Imperial College London, and I now work professionally as a software engineer with more than 5 years of hands-on experience in the tech industry.
My professional background enables me to offer students practical insight into programming and computational thinking, whether they’re preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, university exams, or aiming to sharpen their skills beyond the curriculum. Many of my students have not only improved their grades but also developed genuine interest and confidence in the subjects.
I specialise in helping students prepare for top-tier university applications, including Oxbridge and other Russell Group institutions, and I tailor each session to the student’s learning style and goals—without pressure, but with plenty of support and encouragement.

What sets me apart is my dual perspective—as both an experienced tutor and a practicing software engineer. This allows me to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application, particularly in programming and Computer Science. For Maths, I aim to build a strong foundational understanding while also training students to approach problems with clarity and confidence. I also offer support outside of lessons, such as quick help via email or message, especially during exam season or assignment deadlines. My aim is not just to help students achieve top grades, but also to help them enjoy the process and feel genuinely empowered in their learning.
