About Alex
I’m Alex, a bilingual English–Spanish communications professional, writer and educator currently based in Dublin. I have lived, studied and worked in several countries, including Mexico, the Philippines, the United States, China, Canada and Ireland. I also previously taught STEM in Shanghai, working with students from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
I want to teach because I know that learning a language is about much more than memorizing grammar—it is about gaining the confidence to express your personality, connect with people and create new opportunities for yourself. Having built a life across different countries, I understand how valuable confident communication can be when traveling, working or settling somewhere new.
My goal is to create lessons that feel welcoming, practical and genuinely useful. I enjoy discovering what motivates each student and adapting my approach to their individual goals, whether they want to improve their conversational English, prepare for a job interview or communicate more naturally in professional settings.
