About Emma
I’m an experienced language teacher with 23 years of teaching experience, a TESOL certification, and an academic background in psychology and psychoanalysis. My training in psychology strongly influences the way I teach: I pay close attention to motivation, confidence, anxiety, learning styles, memory, and the individual difficulties that can affect language acquisition.
I work with teenagers and adults from beginner to advanced level, helping them improve speaking, grammar, pronunciation, writing, comprehension, and overall fluency. I also provide personalized preparation for TOEFL, IELTS, and Cambridge exams.
My lessons are structured, practical, and adapted to each student’s goals and learning profile. I don’t use a one-size-fits-all method. I combine language teaching expertise with an understanding of how people learn, process information, and build confidence, which allows me to create a more personalized and effective learning experience.
