About Tait
I started my career in Linux system administration, I originally got a certificate "Certified Linux System Administrator", before moving on to software development as my main job.
Since then, I have been mostly doing dev-ops infrastructure as my full-time job, and started my own company in 2020 to strike out on my own and create the work environment I wanted to see in the world.
Many years of industry experience go into the lessons, and I do my best to hire or make connections to hiring parties when I see a student that goes above and beyond.

I like to give the student the space to tell me what they know, before I create any concrete lesson plans.
That said, the general way I do my lessons is with a shared virtual machine. We use the same machine and I will show them how to accomplish a given task, perhaps one they have suggested, or maybe one which I have picked out for the lesson.
After explaining some of the ins and outs of the system, I ask them to repeat the tasks in a fresh virtual machine so that I can assess their knowledge of the subject.
At the start of the next lesson, I will recap the previous week's subject so they can be reminded before moving on to a new topic.
