About Liva
I am an experienced violin tutor with 12+ years of teaching practice, working with around 300 students including high school students, college learners, and adults. My teaching philosophy focuses on making learning simple, clear, and effective, as I believe students learn best when lessons are easy to follow.
I pay close attention to fundamentals such as posture, bowing technique, rhythm, and tone quality, ensuring strong skill development. I break down complex techniques into smaller, manageable steps so students can learn with confidence.
I also guide students in building good practice habits that support steady progress. One of my notable achievements is helping students grow into confident violin players. My aim is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel motivated to learn.

I follow a student-centred approach when teaching violin, where communication and understanding are very important. I adapt my teaching style based on how each student learns best, whether through visual, listening, or hands-on practice.
I use real-life examples like live performance practice, recording sessions, and familiar melodies to make lessons interesting and useful. I also teach supporting subjects like music theory, rhythm training, and basic keyboard skills to strengthen musical knowledge.
My lessons focus on posture, technique, and expression, while also encouraging creativity. I create a positive and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and grow step by step.
