Having met Ginevra during her semester abroad in Graz in 2023, I got to know her as a true language nerd. In our conversations about Italian, she demonstrated great knowledge of the historical and cultural development of the language – from Dante to Topo Gigio and other contemporary pop culture phenomena. Her knowledge of German and Spanish allows her to make grammatical and semantic cross-references to these two languages and to draw from an extensive language pool. Oh, and she has the best memes.
