About Diana
I tutor English Language and Literature (11+, GCSE, A-level) and English as a foreign language (CELTA qualified). I also teach Creative Writing classes to gifted and passionate students. Based in London. I have tutored the most reluctant of English students with much success. GCSE students with predicted grades of C-D have achieved A grades, hidden creative writing talents have been found and academic essay and analytical writing has been mastered! I have worked with dyslexic students, students where English is their second language and a range of ages. I have worked as a part-time tutor supplementing students' education but I have also home-schooled entire English syllabuses. For students who show a special interest in creative writing, painting, photography I can teach extracurricular workshops to encourage the students to explore their language skills. I have taught individuals and large groups English as a foreign Language in Bangladesh and London. I take great enjoyment from my work and like to work to the strengths of my individual students. A typical lesson with me is focused and dynamic! We might start by waking up your brain with a short exercise that relates to the lesson objective. Then we hone in on any new words, techniques, literature and then we start to test that knowledge and iron out any misunderstandings. There is always extra reading and further work available to take away if the student has time or is particularly keen to advance outside of the lesson. Together, we'll pinpoint your improvement areas and tailor lesson plans to help you excel. Lessons are available online or in person.
