About Conall
I am a recent graduate of the school of English at the University of Leeds (ranked 32nd globally). I have a lifelong passion for literature and the English language, and I am excited to share my expertise to better my students. I am an enthusiastic and vivacious person, and I have been tutoring since I was 15 years old. I have lived in three countries (US, UK and Germany), therefore I am competent with US English, UK English and English for international students or second langauge (ESL). I wrote my university dissertation in Philosophy of Education, therefore I employ evidenced innovative teaching methods which are more effective than many traditional methods/pedagogies. Whatever your educational goals, it is my utmost priority to help you succeed and help you improve in an efficient manner.

My lesson planning varies depending on the student's need.
Grammar/Language: These lessons consist of familiarsing the student with the intricacies and nuances of English grammar, focusing on irregularities, commonly misused conjugations and spelling.
Essay writing/Research skills: Lessons include basics of research skills, how to plan and structure essays, and referencing/citation skills in multiple styles (Harvard, MHRA, Chicago etc.).
Literature: Lessons include close reading exercises, practice in literary analysis, and instruction in annotations and general reading skills/competency.
