About Markus
My name is Markus Windisch, I'm 20 years old and I'm studying instrumental and vocal pedagogy (bass) at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
I've been playing bass (electric, contra) for 15 years. In the last 10 years I have also gained a lot of experience on other instruments such as (electric) guitar, piano or drums. In addition, I have a very good understanding of music theory and music production. I would be very happy to pass on all this knowledge, both theoretical and practical.
In the course of my musical career I have put together/led several bands and have already performed with Austrian jazz greats such as Otto Lechner and Harri Stojka or upcoming rap artist Bibiza.

My teaching is based on mutual exchange, both verbal and instrumental. I try to be clear about my students' interests and help them achieve their goals.
What is special about me as a teacher is that I can pick up students from a wide variety of learning styles with my lessons. Through my euphoria, I manage to arouse interest and motivation in my students. Although I teach according to a plan, I manage to remain spontaneous and open when dealing with students.
As a prospective professional musician and music student at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, I can teach students of all ages and levels, except professionals.
A teaching unit lasts 50 minutes, although it is also possible to combine two units (= 100 minutes).

Markus ist ein unglaublich geduldiger, aufmerksamer Lehrer, der auf die Fragen und auch Probleme eines Schülers sofort Antworten und Lösungen hat. Ganz speziell bringt er dir Musiktheorie in einem praktischen verständlichen, nicht deprimierenden Umgang bei ;)! Abgesehen davon spielt er unglaublich gut Bass, Gitarre und auch Klavier und hat einfach viel zu bieten, das er einem beibringen kann!
