About Rendah
I'm Rendah and I've always wished I had someone to mentor me when I was beginning my film journey. After finding industry mentors that helped me establish and grow in my career, I'm excited that I now have the opportunity to do the same for others. I began working in film production 8 years ago, and attained a film degree at RMIT in 2019. I am based between Melbourne & Toronto, working as a film director and producer. I'm here to answer any and all questions, provide guidance/direction with essential knowledge & skills, and support you as you create your own individual film project or explore film as a medium of creative expression.

Learn documentary filmmaking with personalized mentorship from a seasoned filmmaker! With over 8 years of international experience and a degree in film, I’m here to simplify the process and share invaluable industry insights. Whether you’re exploring filmmaking as a hobby, pursuing it as a career, or seeking support for a completed or ongoing documentary (short or feature-length), I can guide you every step of the way.
In our tailored, one-on-one online sessions (up to 1.5 hours each), we’ll cover both creative and technical aspects of filmmaking, as well as theoretical foundations. Topics can include research and development, conducting interviews, transforming ideas into visuals or scripts, and mastering production essentials like camera and sound. I can also provide guidance on video editing using Premiere Pro, writing treatments, creating proposals or pitch packages for broadcasters, and navigating financing and budgets. Additionally, we can explore film festival strategies, distribution in Australia and internationally, and even dive into documentary film theory or other cinema-related subjects you’re interested in.
My mentorship is designed for emerging filmmakers at all ages, with a personalised approach to suit your specific needs. Let me help you bring your vision to life and achieve your documentary filmmaking goals.
