About Silvia
I am a second-year student of History and International Realtions at King's College London. I come from Italy, where I have been tutoring elementary and middle school kids for the last 4 years. I also gave Latin and Ancient Greek lessons to high school studentS since I have studied these subjects for 5 years.

I think it is important to establish a good relationship with the students I help. To do so, I always try and make them feel comfortable already in the first lessons by telling them that I am a student myself, and I know how it feels to struggle with some topics. Once we establish a good relationship, I begin to understand what are the key weaknesses that need to be overcome and turned into strenghts. To do so, I work in an interactive way with the students, so that we can find a solution together to any problem that might arise. During my lessons I keep asking students guiding questions rather than providing them my answers. I think this method is stimulating and challenging.
