About Jennifer
Hello everyone! I'm Jenny, a native Irish teacher, an English philology graduate with second degree honours, CELTA certified and currently studying a Master's in Applied English Linguistics at the UAM. I have 6 years of English teaching experience, including 2 years at the University of Santiago de Compostela. I have worked in academies, companies and with academic researchers of all levels and ages, to improve their ability to write and speak naturally and fluently in formal and informal situations.

My classes are: Dynamic, fun and interactive. For me, the most important thing is that you enjoy my classes, and that is why each class is personalized to your interests, needs and objectives. I design all the material for classes and use real life materials instead of books, so you can learn English in a natural context. I teach general English (listening, writing, speaking and reading), academic English, (correction / review of academic articles) and English for companies. I use the 'flipped classroom' method: that means that you get exercises to complete at home e.g. watch a 5 minute (maximum) video, play a grammar game, etc., so you do not lose class time learning something that you can teach yourself! In class, we review what you have learned and practice how you would use it in real life. The first class is free, so we can chat about your interests, objectives and needs. This way I can assess your English level, your strengths and weaknesses, and design your future classes.

Jennifer fue profesora mía en la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela. Nos conocimos en 3º de carrera y estuvimos encantados con ella. La dinámica de grupo y sus ánimos para motivarte a trabajar con los demás compañeros fueron de lo mejor. Además, las clases estaban dirigidas a debatir entre nosotros a lo cuál ella nos ayudó y dirigió, dependiendo de si había mucha o poca conversación. Como profesora la recomiendo 10/10, no sólo porque aprendes mucho y muy bien, sino también por lo simpática y agradable que es. Con ella es fácil tener un ambiente dinámico y natural para trabajar en inglés. 10/10 altamente recomendable.
Estoy dando clases con jenny, es muy profesional y me esta ayudando muchisimo poder dar clases charlando y poniendo en practica el idioma que es donde mas me cuesta a la hora de usarlo. Ademas se acomoda muy bien con tus horarios.
