While currently in my final year at the Brown University|RISD Dual-Degree Program, I am studying 'International & Public Affairs' and 'Painting' while balancing a full-time professional art career. Within both my tutoring and personal studying methodology, I enjoy using a combination of compassionately-encouraging (yet energetic) techniques: such as 'The Socratic Method' and 'The Pomodoro Technique.' My time in the Brown University|RISD Dual-Degree Program has coached me in the practice of quickly and efficiently switching between both sides of our brains – through which I have realized the importance of creating a stimulating and engaging academic environment for learning. A typical lesson will follow the Socratic ethos by establishing the current level of knowledge and needs of the student, followed by a period of setting both short-term & long-term goals for our time together. Alternately, the class can be spent dedicated to a specific task or assignment that the student would like support on, e.g. homework, essays, résumé preparation, etc. These lessons will be available for elementary & middle school students; as well as freshmen and sophomores in high school. Résumé preparation will be available for high school students, college students and recent college graduates (1-2 years).
