As an ESL teacher, I incorporate activities such as Disney soundtrack singalongs, lyric reading, nursery rhyme recitations, and
short poetry writing activities to build an understanding of English cadence, pronunciation, sound replication
skills; as well as a way to convey popular culture in the Anglosphere. I also incorporate activities such as free form/improvisational dancing, allowing young learners to engage with the content as they wish. I enjoy using a mix of varied learning styles and approaches to expand English teaching pedagogy beyond formal drilling/lessons. Strong emphasis on discovery, group learning, cooperation, and promoting artistic creativity.
