About Corey
I am forever a student in my life, and I have been blessed to gain invaluable wisdom and experience in various facets of business that many others don't embrace. I have always had an analytical, STEM-oriented mind, but throughout my developmental years, Spanish was my first love as I attended one of the first dual-language schools in Ohio and shined even amongst the majority of students whose first language was Spanish. As I continued to cultivate this love, I discovered another in music as a saxophonist, and I have even studied under and worked alongside many jazz legends of Cleveland. At only 25 years old, I have accumulated a wide array of skills and firsthand experience from working in many industries (from food service, to sales and logistics, to IT and software development, to freelance entrepreneurship, etc.), and from this I have noticed an overall void in preparation-focused teaching based on actual real-world utilizations of the exact skills being taught. My overall belief is that our experiences and perspective are what make us unique, and my most profound takeaway from this realization is that the possibilities are literally endless when it comes to finding a community in which you feel you are valued and creating a profitable lane or niche that can feed your mind, body, and soul for a lifetime.

I understand the value in allowing students to arrive at a conclusion via their own untampered problem-solving process, so I teach mainly through thought-provoking questions and relatable analogies that they can visualize. Every student has their own affinities and unique train of thought, so it is my honor to serve as a tutor that will teach them how to apply the skills they are learning, and as a mentor that will challenge them further to offer their own input and creativity as to why what they are learning is even important in the first place.
I am quite flexible based on the needs of my student, but in general, a session with me can include homework completion, project brainstorming & outlining, in depth guided study/research, feedback on mock presentations or performances, directed practice conversations, and sharing useful resources to utilize on their own time as well as tips and tricks that proved helpful for me in my initial learning phase.
