Hi! My name is Jacopo, and I am a PhD student in Materials Science at the University of Manchester. I have a strong background in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Metallurgy, and I enjoy sharing this knowledge with others. For me, teaching is not only about helping students improve their skills, but also about learning myself: I believe that if you can clearly explain a topic, it means you have truly understood it. Hi, I’m Jacopo, a PhD student in Materials Science at the University of Manchester. I offer tutoring in Chemistry, Physics (classical mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism), Basic Mathematics, Metallurgy, and Physical Chemistry. My lessons are clear, structured, and tailored to each student, with a focus on building understanding step by step. Thanks to my background in scientific research, I can also support university-level students in advanced topics such as alloys, microstructures, and mechanical testing. Whether you need help with fundamentals or advanced courses, I’ll guide you with patience and enthusiasm. Before starting, I like to assess the student’s level and goals (school support, exam preparation, filling knowledge gaps, or advanced learning). Each lesson is structured in three parts: Review of key concepts to ensure a solid foundation. Targeted exercises (practice problems, exam-style questions, real-life applications) to reinforce understanding. Personalised deepening, connecting to advanced or applied topics when relevant (e.g., metallurgy, materials science, research examples). I also provide summaries and study tips to make learning more effective, and suggest extra exercises for independent practice
