About Ema
I have spoken Japanese my entire life so I have a good understanding of the language and hope to share my knowledge with others. I attended a weekend Japanese school for 4 years where I maintained my language proficiency while growing up in the United States.
I tutored a Japanese American 2nd grader virtually through a non profit organization for a year so I have experience with a virtual style of tutoring.
I have also been to Japan nearly every year since I was born to visit family so if you have any questions regarding the culture or places to visit I am definitely able to share some personal experience and recommendations!

I like to create weekly slides to help assist students with their areas of weakness so I can target them easier while maintaining a structured lesson plan. I prefer to work with elementary to intermediate level Japanese language learners but I will assess the student's current level of knowledge during the first lesson and adapt accordingly.
