About Dale
I have been a music performer, and public school and private lesson teacher for more than 15 years, and am pleased to have played a role in coaching and mentoring professional musicians. My background is in commercial music performance and jazz guitar. I have taught jazz band, concert band, string orchestra, chorus, piano and guitar lab courses, and directed many performance groups and summer music camps.

My teaching methodology is to visualize an appropriate framework of curriculum units. The units are 1) ear training, 2) instrumental dexterity/facility, 3) repertoire, 4) technique, and 5) theory. I teach by assessing the needs of the student, and working with the student to design a program that is most effective and efficient for strengthening the areas that require most development while maintaining learning curve momentum by reinforcing the areas of most strength.

Half hour lessons are available for beginners at $20.00. Ten prepaid half hour lessons are 150.00. There are no refund for missed lessons unless they are cancelled or rescheduled more than 144 hours (6 days) in advance.
