About Ben
I have been involved in music in various manors for around 10 years. I have enjoyed playing in many professional settings such as concert halls, theatres and more relaxed venues. I have achieved my grade 8 piano, as well as having reputable achievements in A-Level music. I have a wide knowledge of higher level music performance and theory also, therefore I like to reassure there is freedom in what can be taught.
Learning piano isn't just for the paper of having an official grade, but it is about learning a skill that can be enjoyed by many. You are learning the decoration of time that is music, therefore I aspire to evoke a passion similar to mine into any student who is willing.
I have also completed a masters degree in civil engineering and offer Maths and Physics tutoring additionally for the same prices.

I like to ensure that the student is going to learn in a way that works best for them. Whilst employing a suitable strategy to achieve grades may be important, I have always believed it's just as crucial to enjoy playing stuff you want to play first. By adapting to an enjoyable manor of learning, it encourages students to want to dive in to the more nitty gritty side of music, thus expanding their understanding of the language itself.
Lessons can be anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes, however it is recommended that 20-30 minutes a week is perfect for teaching, followed by a good amount of practice in preparation for the next teaching load.
I have grade 8 piano and lots of live experience with jazz and classical roots, plus GCSE and A-level in music to A/A* plus.
My lessons are for any age and any levels from grades 1-8.
