About Zia
My teaching approach centers around mindfulness, technique awareness, and emotional presence in every note you play. I believe that playing guitar isn’t just about speed or flash—it’s about feeling grounded, expressive, and connected to your sound. We’ll begin by tuning into your breath. Breathing calmly during practice helps release tension and keeps your playing fluid and focused. I also emphasize proper anchoring of the hands, so your technique feels secure and balanced, not strained or forced. We’ll explore how phrasing can carry emotion, how pauses can speak as loudly as the notes, and how your unique voice can shine through. For learners who crave a calm space to grow or feel overwhelmed by pressure, I create a safe, encouraging environment. We move at your pace. Whether you're gently strumming around the campfire or building up to your first big solo, I help you find ease in your playing and joy in the process.

I’m a guitar tutor with 7 years of experience and a Diploma of Music specializing in Guitar. My teaching journey began on stage and in the studio, but it truly came alive through ensemble coaching. I work closely with bands, duos, and acoustic jam groups to develop tight, expressive performances that shine in live settings.
My approach is rehearsal-based. That means we focus on the real stuff—listening, locking into timing, and crafting arrangements that groove together. Whether you're strumming in a living room trio or leading a full electric band, I guide you to play with clarity and connection.
I’ve seen shy players step confidently into the spotlight. With me, students don’t just learn to play—they learn to perform as a team. Sessions often feel like band practice because they are. You’ll walk away knowing how to fit in, stand out, and bring a song to life.
