My guitar teaching approach is rooted in storytelling, humor, and real-world music references that make every lesson feel alive. Whether we’re diving into bending and vibrato or refining solo phrasing, I connect each concept to iconic moments in music history that spark inspiration. I guide students to build tone from the fingers up, teaching tone shaping as both a science and an art. We dissect the sounds of legends, experiment with gear, and find the voice that’s uniquely yours. Humor keeps things light when technique gets heavy, and stories from the stage or studio make abstract skills feel personal and real. For those needing encouragement, I create a space that feels safe, supportive, and free of judgment. For learners craving structure or technical depth, we build layered roadmaps that challenge and reward. Expressiveness is a constant thread—we explore how to make one note speak more than ten. Through mini performance exercises, we also build stage confidence gradually, making nerves a stepping stone instead of a barrier.

I started my guitar journey as a curious teenager, teaching myself chords and licks late into the night with a beat-up acoustic and a dream. What began as bedroom jams soon turned into a passion that led me to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music, with Guitar as my focus. The transition from self-taught explorer to formally trained musician opened up a world of nuance, structure, and endless creative possibilities.
Over the past 3+ years, I’ve been helping students bridge that same gap—between where they are and where they want to be. I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed by theory or stuck on a riff that just won’t land. That’s why my teaching style blends patience, humor, and practical hacks that actually work. One of my most popular tools is the ‘riff breakdown’ method—where we slow down, dissect, and rebuild iconic riffs piece by piece.
We also do real-time songwriting challenges that stretch your creativity and confidence. Lessons aren’t just about repetition—they’re about discovery. Whether you're picking up the guitar for the first time or sharpening your style, I’ll meet you right where you are. Together, we’ll make sense of the fretboard, jam with purpose, and celebrate every small win.
