About Francesco
Francesco is a jazz pianist and experienced music educator. He has taught for over eight years as a private lesson instructor, class teacher, and tutor. He is currently the tutor for the Manhattan School of Music jazz department. He has performed across Europe (Italy, Poland, Romania, Croatia), the Middle East (Qatar, Palestine, Israel), and the United States. He has been recognized as an emerging jazz talent in Italy, having received honors from Umbria Jazz and multiple competitions. In 2019, he won the award for best jazz instrumentalist at the Sibiu Jazz Competition. Among other residencies, he played with the resident band at The Club at The St. Regis Doha in Qatar, a Jazz at Lincoln Center venue. Francesco has recorded seven albums as a leader and a sideman, including his 2020 debut solo piano record, Catch Me. Francesco received a Master’s degree in Jazz Piano Performance summa cum laude from the Conservatory of Vicenza in 2018 and will complete his second Master’s in jazz piano at the Manhattan School of Music in 2023. Outside of piano, he is a trained classical guitarist. Originally from Venice, Francesco lives and regularly performs in New York City.

I'm Francesco, a graduate alumnus at the Manhattan School of Music, a concert jazz pianist, and a music educator. With eight years of teaching experience, I am currently the jazz department tutor at MSM and received my certification in classroom teaching in Italy.
In-person or online, I'm here to offer you my experience as an educator, composer, and touring musician. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, I'll make sure to help you meet your musical goal—in music theory or piano performance—through a personalized program. I take a methodical goal-based approach to teaching piano and theory and am particularly knowledgeable about harmony, piano arranging, and vocalist accompaniment. And you'll have the opportunity to record your lesson.

Perfect! Francesco has the gift of effective pedagogy and engaging musicianship. As a fellow piano teacher, it was a joy to learn with him. Francesco explains the fundamental theory of improvisation with clarity and ease. Moreover, he encourages students to put theory into practice right away.
