About Hari Om Sharan
As a physics teacher, I see myself first and foremost as a guide for discovery rather than just a deliverer of facts. I am deeply passionate about the subject because physics isn’t just a set of laws and equations—it’s a way of understanding how the universe works, from the smallest particles to the largest galaxies. Why do I want to teach? I believe that curiosity and critical thinking are the most valuable tools a person can have. Teaching physics gives me the chance to spark that sense of *wonder* in others and to help students build the confidence to explore big questions. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student’s excitement when a difficult concept finally makes sense, or when they realize they can use scientific thinking to solve real-world problems. I want to teach because I value creating an environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. Science thrives on collaboration and open inquiry, and I want to foster those qualities in every lesson. Ultimately, my goal is not only to help students master physics but also to help them develop the habits of mind—curiosity, skepticism, resilience—that will serve them in any field or challenge they encounter.

As a physics teacher, my teaching style centers on engaging students as active participants in their own learning. I prioritize interactive lessons rather than traditional lectures. In my classroom, you’ll find:
- **Active Learning:** We tackle physics concepts through discussion, hands-on demonstrations, and collaborative problem-solving. For example, you might predict the outcome of an experiment, test it, and analyze the results with your peers.
- **Real-World Connections:** I relate abstract physics principles to everyday experiences—like using sports to illustrate laws of motion or analyzing smartphone tech to explain electromagnetism—so you see why physics matters outside the classroom.
- **Inquiry and Projects:** Instead of giving all the answers, I encourage you to ask questions, design experiments, and explore real-world challenges. Group projects are common, helping you learn from one another.
- **Socratic Dialogue:** I often respond to your answers with deeper questions. This pushes you to explain your reasoning and helps you develop critical thinking skills.
- **Supportive Environment:** Mistakes are part of learning. I create a space where you can take risks, debate ideas, and reflect on your progress without fear of judgement.
- **Formative Assessment:** I use quick quizzes, in-class activities, and reflections to check your understanding, adjusting lessons to make sure concepts are clear.
My overall goal is to help you not just memorize formulas, but to *think like a physicist*—curious, analytical, and always eager to explore how the world works.
