About Signe

I am educated in Jewelry, Technology and Business from EK, where I have worked with jewelry design, traditional craft techniques, understanding materials and modern production technologies. I also worked for a year in a jewelry studio in Paris, where I gained practical experience with jewelry production, materials and professional craftsmanship. Alongside this, I work with my own artistic practice, including within jewelry, metal and sculpture, and have exhibited my sculptural works in Paris. My approach to jewelry making is both technical and experimental. I love how even a simple idea can develop into a completely unique object, and I want to make that process accessible to others. You don't need to be able to draw, be particularly creative or have tried making jewelry before. I believe that anyone can learn the craft with the right guidance, and I always adapt the teaching to the individual. Whether you want to make your first silver ring, experiment with sculptural shapes or learn to make your own jewelry more professionally, I will help you from idea to result.

About the lesson

Make your own jewelry without expensive tools - no matter where you live! Do you dream of making your own jewelry, but don't know where to start? I will teach you how to design and make your own rings, pendants and sculptural jewelry in real silver - from scratch and without any previous experience required! We work with the lost wax technique (wax modeling), a professional manufacturing method where you shape your jewelry in special wax, which can then be cast in precious metal. This gives you the opportunity to create everything from simple, elegant rings to organic, raw and experimental designs - without needing to be able to solder or have access to a goldsmith's workshop. From your first idea to a finished piece of jewelry What's special about my teaching is that you get personal 1:1 guidance throughout the entire process. We take your ideas, your style and your level as a starting point, and I help you with both the creative and the technical. You will learn, among other things: Lost wax and wax modeling: Cutting, shaping, filing and working with textures in wax. Jewelry design: Developing your own ideas and understanding shape, proportions and materials. Professional techniques: Making models suitable for casting in silver. Casting and finishing: How your wax model becomes a finished piece of jewelry. Independent jewelry making: If you wish, you can later learn to grind, file and polish your castings yourself. You can join, no matter where you live! The lessons can take place online or in person. When your wax model is ready, you can send it to me by mail, and I will help coordinate professional casting and finishing, after which you will have your finished piece of jewelry sent back to you. Casting, metal and shipping are billed separately. You don't need to invest in expensive tools to get started. I will help you find the few materials you need for your first project. Do you want to learn more than just making one ring? The lessons can also be organized as a longer course, where you gradually learn to work independently with jewelry making. Maybe you dream of creating your own jewelry collection, starting a small jewelry brand, or just exploring a new creative craft. My goal is that you not only leave with a piece of jewelry you designed yourself, but also with knowledge and techniques you can use to create your next designs.
