About Melissa
Dr. Johnson has over 25 years of educational experience in Arizona and Hawaii, at the K-12 and college levels, teaching education, English, research methods, and communication. Additionally, she has held administrative roles, including vice principal, lead research faculty, and head of the special education/ELL department. Her academic credentials include a PhD in Instructional and Curriculum Leadership, master's degrees in Principal Leadership (K-12), Strategic Communications, and Bilingual/Multicultural Education, and a BA in Communication Studies. Additionally, she is a Certified Autism Specialist and holds a dozen teaching licenses across Arizona and Hawaii. She is a devoted advocate for creating a safe learning environment and is committed to enhancing students' skills while providing comprehensive support. In her leisure time, she enjoys attending concerts, relaxing at the beach, and spending quality moments with her pugs and French bulldogs.
