About Nicole
Hello, future students!
I'm Nicole, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be your teacher. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and I want to share a bit about myself and why I'm dedicated to this profession. I have a Degree in Journalism and a teaching qualification from South Africa and Scotland. Over the years, I have gained 15 years of experience in ages from 1 to 14 years, which has allowed me to develop a deep understanding. More than just my qualifications, I'm a lifelong learner who is genuinely excited about continuing to explore and expand my knowledge.
I've always found great joy in helping others learn and grow. Witnessing the "aha!" moments when a concept clicks for a student is incredibly rewarding for me. Education has the power to transform lives. I believe that by providing you with the tools and knowledge you need, I can help you achieve your goals.

My qualifications and experience include a degree in Journalism and a Teaching qualification with 15 years experience of being a teacher, 6 of those years were in the UK. The typical length of my lesson depends on the age of the child but can vary from 30 min to 45 min to 1 hour. My techniques incorporate visuals such as images, GIFs, videos, etc. to make it watchable and this way is comparatively easy to pass on information to students. Students will be able to use the presentation for later purposes like studying and revising the syllabus. I use Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint. Other concepts I enjoy using are the online whiteboard, live online classes and flipped classroom teaching. My lessons are predominantly for reception year to year 6.
