About Jules
Aged 20 . I was raised bilingual, I have lived and studied in both France and England, in both English and French schools, speaking those languages as a native speaker. I have studied Italian since the age of 10 and speak the language fluently. I am certified to teach English, and have also privately tutored French, History, Biology, Government and Politics,Italian, as well as verbal and nonverbal reasoning, starting in 2015 to children wishing to increase their competence in both written and spoken language. I have aided students to gain admission to the international section program within the Lycée Français Charles De Gaulle and into several English independent schools with the 11+ and IELTS test.
My teaching methodology is focused around getting my students to understand the core concepts behind the subjects as relevant to their goals. I tutor all ages of students looking to improve their level of proficiency, from the primary school age to adults alike. Cooperation, patience and hard work are three central principles from which I like to teach; at first understanding my student's goals, specific needs and strong points and understanding how they individually learn. Tailoring a specific program to suit each specific student and style of learning within the time available, allocating work for my students to do on their own time, and encouraging my students to ask questions and work with me as a tutor are indispensable tools. Ultimately, I gain satisfaction as a tutor from seeing progress coming from my students as a result of their hard work and our collaborative effort.
