About Kaylyn
I’m a high school student who plays lacrosse and enjoys English, history, and writing essays. Trust me, I know those subjects can feel overwhelming at times, especially when it comes to understanding readings or figuring out how to write a good essay, and I enjoy helping make them feel more manageable!
I have experience working with students and enjoy explaining things in a calm, patient way. I try to break assignments down step by step and help students understand what they’re being asked to do instead of just giving answers.
I’d love to help middle school and high school students feel more confident in English and writing, whether that’s with homework, essays, or understanding class material!

English can be annoying and confusing, especially when essays, readings, or grammar rules don’t make sense. I can help students understand what they’re actually supposed to do instead of just guessing and hoping for a good grade.
I can help you with:

• Understanding readings and finding the main idea
• Grammar and sentence structure
• Homework help and test prep (SAT, ACT, and otherwise!)
• Editing essays so they sound better and clearer
I explain things in a simple way and go step by step, so nothing feels overwhelming. I don’t rush, and I won’t judge if something doesn’t make sense right away. My goal is to help students feel more confident in English and less stressed about assignments. If English has ever felt frustrating or confusing, I can help make it way easier!
