About Iravan
I pride myself on my ability to work with and lead others. In college, I am incredibly involved on campus. Some of my activities include being the President of Binghamton University's one and only politically-neutral newspaper, as well as an RA with Binghamton University Residential Life. I am a double-major in Economics, Philosophy, Politics, and Law (PPL) and minor in French, all while boasting a 3.9/4.0 GPA. I am currently a summer intern at the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office, and have been accepted into the Summer Analyst program at Goldman Sachs in the Summer of 2026. I went to one of the most rigorous high schools in the world and gained the benefits of a rigorous STEM-based education. I earned an 800 (full score) on the math portion of the SAT, and I continue to put my mathematical skills to use in the economics department at my school. My teaching methods are completely oriented around the student. I will listen closely to where you've been and where you want to go in terms of your math learning. A typical lesson with me includes discussing your current mathematical strengths and weaknesses, closely reviewing material from any external classes you may be taking, and practicing with material I provide for you. I have many past experiences tutoring mathematics to students looking to take the SAT (I got an 800 on the math section), SHSAT, Algebra I Regents, and ASVAB. I also have experience coaching baseball, so I consider myself not just a good tutor but a good mentor. My lessons are for students who are taking any level of math before precalculus. I will always listen closely to the needs of my students and remain a positive, encouraging voice to help you reach your goals.
