About Sathyangi

As a seasoned instructor, my passion for this traditional art form is matched only by my commitment to your learning experience.

Having a robust background in teaching, choreography, and performance with the prestigious Kandyan Dancers Company in the UK, I bring a wealth of expertise to our classes.

Each one-hour session is crafted to nurture beginners and intermediate learners, ensuring a seamless progression in mastering posture, footwork, and understanding the important theory. Your cultural exploration will be guided by a professional dedicated to making your journey both enriching and enjoyable.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach combines traditional techniques with improving stamina and fitness, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning experience. I emphasize a step-by-step breakdown of Kandyan steps, focusing on body posture, footwork, and intricate hand gestures. Each lesson, tailored for beginners and intermediates, lasts for one hour, striking a balance between learning and enjoyment.

With training in Pa Saraba and Goba Saraba, I bring authentic expertise to my classes. My background involves teaching, choreographing, and performing with the Kandyan Dancers Company in the UK. (See website - (concealed information)

Having honed my skills, I'm now travelling in Australia, passionate about sharing the rich cultural heritage of Kandyan dance with enthusiasts of all ages!
