As a current Kingston University student pursuing a Bachelor of Midwifery with Honours, my entire educational journey is built upon absolute professionalism, high organisational standards, and a deep commitment to helping others succeed. I believe that learning should be engaging, supportive, and completely stress-free for young students. My teaching methodology focuses on breaking down complex mathematical concepts and scientific ideas into simple, bite-sized steps that are easy for children to visualise. I use interactive digital whiteboards, colourful quizzes, and step-by-step guidance to ensure my students fully grasp the logic behind every question, rather than just memorising answers for an exam. I actively praise my students to build up their academic confidence, patience, and enthusiasm for learning.
Typical Lesson Structure and LengthA standard online lesson runs for exactly 60 minutes. This length is the absolute sweet spot for primary school children because it allows us to dedicate the first 10 minutes to a fun warm-up review, spend 40 minutes diving deeply into core SATs maths topics or biology concepts, and use the final 10 minutes for an encouraging summary game to solidify what they learned.My Qualifications and Academic BackgroundI am a dedicated healthcare student currently studying a Midwifery Foundation BMid (Hons) degree at Kingston University. My academic background is rooted in strong STEM foundations, having achieved top Grade 7 qualifications (the official UK equivalent to an A grade) in both GCSE Mathematics and GCSE Biology. My university pathway directly equips me with an in-depth understanding of professional boundaries, patience, communication, and clear safeguarding standards.
My online lessons are explicitly tailored for primary school children in Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 1, specifically catering to pupils aged 8 to 12 who are in Year 4, Year 5, Year 6, or transitioning into Year 7. Whether your child needs dedicated support to build foundational confidence in primary arithmetic, structured preparation to ace their Year 6 SATs exams, or a friendly introduction to Key Stage 3 science modules, my lessons are customised to meet their unique learning pace.
