About Haelin
I have studied various subjects from philosophy, film, international development and media. Lately I have received a PhD in media studies in the UK. Also, I have worked in Tunisia and Zimbabwe in a global aid sector before having moved to the UK for further studies. I have a French certificate B2 and I got it without attending any language institutions. But I have got some help from a native tutor for a few months when I needed to advance my French speaking. Every week, I studied a specific issue which genuinely interested me using various newspapers and videos online before I meet my tutor. During the actual session, in this way I could lead our discussion as I was already familiar with a context, vocabulary and key terms. I tell you this is a very efficient method and I will be very happy to help you this way.

I am keen to help someone who is already capable of having basic conversation but wants to elevate a level enough to have a complex conversation regarding various subjects (e.g. literature, film, socio-cultural and political issues etc). I myself have an experience of improving my French fluency by studying various subjects using newspapers and video content and having a conversation about those issues with a native speaker. I am sure I can help you if you like to advance your language skills, both written and spoken.
