About Hyunju
I am a vocal and music instructor with over 8 years of international teaching experience, including two years in South Korea. I have worked with students aged 12 to 70, developing an adaptable teaching approach that makes singing accessible and effective for each individual.
I have delivered both small group and one-to-one lessons, preparing students for ABRSM, Trinity and RSL grade examinations, as well as supporting idol audition preparation and entrance exams for music universities. In the UK, I have two years of experience teaching Musical Theatre Singing, Pop Singing, Piano, and Songwriting in secondary schools, alongside providing individual lessons.
Alongside teaching, I am an active artist releasing music on Spotify under the name “Heju,” and have performed at events such as Tramlines Festival 2021. I provide practical guidance on vocal technique, performance skills, and developing a unique artistic identity.

I always ask a few simple questions to make sure what exactly the student wants to develop. It could be singing skills or to want to sing like a specific artist such as Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Jorja Smith and more. We choose the song which we will work on together by considering the student's music taste. It makes the student feel more engaged and interested.

Perfect! Really enjoyed my first lesson with Hyunju - went through a song and some exercises and make some good progress! Looking forward to having more in the future!
Perfect! Really friendly and personal approach; gets to know you and your strengths and what you want to sing like before getting into it.
Perfect! Hyunju is a positive and supportive vocal teacher. Already had a few lessons with her and she had encouraged me to work towards my prefer singing style and allocate progressive practices accordingly.
Also, she had made the classes fun and we touched on different tangent of singing and music style on each lessons, which I enjoyed quite a lot.
At the moment I have not seen huge changes yet but I did develop a greater ideas on singing technique, and I cannot wait to see my future improvement.
