About Jerry
I am a dedicated A-level student with a strong passion for learning and a genuine desire to support younger students in their academic journey. Teaching appeals to me because I love being able to pass on the knowledge and strategies that have helped me succeed, and I believe that sharing this wisdom can make a real difference to a student’s confidence and progress. I’m motivated by seeing the potential within every child and helping them recognise what they are capable of. Watching a student grow, overcome challenges, and realise their abilities is incredibly rewarding, and I take pride in knowing that I can play a meaningful part in that development. Becoming a tutor allows me not only to strengthen my own understanding, but also to inspire others, encourage curiosity, and support students in unlocking their full potential.

As a student tutor working with KS2–KS3 learners, I design my lessons to be interactive, supportive, and clearly structured. I use a combination of step-by-step explanation, guided practice, and short review tasks to ensure students fully understand each concept before moving on. My teaching methodology focuses on building confidence by breaking down difficult topics, using real examples, and encouraging students to think independently. Each lesson typically lasts one hour, allowing enough time for instruction, practice, and feedback. I achieved Grade 9/A* in my subjects, which has equipped me with strong subject knowledge and effective study strategies that I pass on to my students. My lessons are suitable for learners aged roughly 8–14 who may need help consolidating schoolwork, preparing for assessments, or stretching themselves beyond the classroom.
