About Daria's approach
As a tutor, I focus on creating engaging, student-centered lessons that combine modern teaching methods with a personalised approach. I use interactive techniques, including the Direct Method (DME) for English, which encourages speaking from the very first lesson, as well as structured grammar and vocabulary practice to ensure solid progress.
A typical lesson with me includes a short warm-up conversation, targeted work on grammar or vocabulary, interactive speaking exercises, and practical tasks such as role plays or exam-style questions. This balance helps learners improve fluency while also building accuracy and confidence.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt lessons to each student’s goals and personality. Whether a learner is preparing for exams like IELTS, FCE, or CAE, working on overcoming language barriers, improving pronunciation and phonetics, or simply aiming to improve conversational skills, I design a programme that suits your needs.
My lessons are suitable mainly for teenagers, and adults, from absolute beginners (A0) to upper-intermediate and advanced learners (B2–C1). With over 5 years of teaching experience, studies in English and Russian teaching at Charles University in Prague, and being a native Russian speaker fluent in several languages, I create a friendly and motivating atmosphere where students can achieve visible results and enjoy the learning process ;)
