Languages graduate offering online Spanish and Portuguese lessons from Beginners to Advanced!

Before lockdown Jessica joined us as a parent and toddler support volunteer, supporting the running of our Spanish-speaking group called Espacio Mama. She helped to set up the space, welcome families, prepare food and drinks, and organise group activities, including singing and storytime. Jessica also helped our parent workshops, translating for a visiting health visitor covering important information for both the parents and their children’s wellbeing.

During lockdown, Jessica developed and launched a language club, running weekly online ESOL lessons for beginners. This project involved creating videos and resources, designing lesson plans and fun interactive activities for 10 – 15 parents. Jessica has also joined our efforts to build relationships with local ESOL teachers to see opportunities for collaboration and a potential campaign for better access to ESOL support in Southwark.

Jessica is a very reliable and professional tutor. She is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure her sessions are planned to cater to her students needs. She is friendly and supportive which helps the student feel at ease.
