About Kei
I am a friendly, patient, and reliable tutor who understands how stressful NCEA assessments can feel. My goal is to make English and History more manageable by breaking tasks into clear steps and helping students understand what markers are looking for. I focus on strengthening structure, analysis, evidence, and expression, so students can work towards lifting their writing to an Excellence level without feeling overwhelmed.

Teaching methodology:
My lessons focus on developing strong writing, analysis, and exam skills, while also helping students achieve clear results in assignments and exams. I aim to make lessons structured, supportive, and practical, with strategies students can confidently apply to their own work.
Typical lesson length:
Lessons are usually one to two hours, depending on the student’s needs.
Qualifications/experience:
I achieved Excellence endorsements across NCEA Levels 1–3, including consecutive Excellence endorsements in both English and History throughout those years. I also offer NCEA Level 1 Mathematics tutoring, supported by my accelerated completion of the course with Excellence endorsement a year before completing NCEA level 1. I am also currently studying Law and Commerce, giving me strong experience in essay writing, argument development, research, and clear communication.
