About Trisha
I believe that a desire to teach comes from a love for learning, and a passion for the subject-matter. It allows you to engage in discussions on the topics that you love and, if you are successful, your students come away sharing your enthusiasm for the subject. It is for this reason that I have coached a number of co-curricular and extra-curricular teams. Most memorably, I was a coach for one of my university's international moot teams, after partaking in the competition the year before. I had the opportunity to create lesson plans, break down and present complex legal issues, and provide guidance on debate and public speaking.
My love for English has developed greatly over the years. Growing up, I spoke over five languages and was constantly amazed by how a single expression could have vastly different implications in each of the dialects. I developed this passion through high school by focusing on the English language -- it is incredibly nuanced and can be craftily manipulated to suit the speaker's needs.
Bringing these elements together, I hope to work as an English tutor, focusing on both oral and written communication. I look forward to meeting you!

LESSON PLANS:
Lessons will cater to your needs! Whether you wish to improve your written or oral communication, for language-based or literature-based tasks, sessions will be tailored to ensure that they are best suited for you. Each lesson will be 45 minutes long.
Writing classes will strengthen your command over grammar and vocabulary, while understanding how linguistic tools can be used to effectively deliver a message. Literature-based sessions will begin with the text at hand. We will analyse its themes and messages, and the manner in which the author uses literary and linguistic tools to expound on them.
Public speaking lessons will also focus on refining the use of English but, more importantly, understanding the type of language that works best for oral communication. These conversation-based sessions will help make you a more confident orator by focusing on structuring, body language, pacing and much more. Inevitably, it is about finding the style that you are most comfortable with to make you a compelling and confident speaker.
ABOUT ME:
I recently completed my undergraduate law degree at King's College London, which helped my hone my written and oral communication skills. The course was assessed entirely through essay writing, most of which was argumentative and required me to provide a compelling analysis of either side. Moreover, I was an avid mooter, ranking highly in national and international competitions.
I achieved A*s in both English Language and Literature at the IGCSE examinations. Similarly, I received a Grade 7 (highest grade) in English Language and Literature at the IB Diploma Programme.
