About Emma
I am very friendly and patient because I know how frustrating it can be to learn a new language! This means I'll make sure to explain things in a way that will make sense to you and give you time to take in what you've learnt.
I love languages because you can learn so much about a country or a culture from the way a particular group of people use language to interact with each other, to what a country or culture values or prioritises. For example, did you know that some Inuit tribes have around 50 words for snow. Compared to English that seems like a lot but it starts to make sense when you think about it in relation to how we seem to have loads of words for being drunk!

Each lesson will focus on YOU. I'll try to tailor your learning based on what you want to learn and what you want to get out of each session, explained in a way that makes sense to you and in a way that you enjoy.
My lessons will be a standard length of 1 hour but can be longer or shorter based on your preferences.
I achieved an A* in GCSE Spanish, and also completed 2 years' worth of further study at university as optional modules alongside my law degree. Since then I have lived in various cities across Spain and is where I am currently living.
My lessons would be suitable for people of any age, but mostly aimed at those who are fairly new to learning Spanish and are keen to practice speaking.
