About Emily
After obtaining a First Class Political Science degree from the University of Glasgow in 2021, I decided that I wanted to pursue a legal career as a barrister, specialising in civil law. I have worked as an academic tutor in Montreal, Glasgow and Edinburgh, with extensive experience tutoring A-Level Politics. In my spare time I enjoy music, watching Netflix and going on runs!

Having previously worked as an academic tutor in both the UK and Canada, I have extensive professional experience within the field. My lessons typically run for an hour and focus on improving my student's grasp of the subject, alongside their exam technique and study skills. I believe that active recall is the most effective way to memorise content for both GCSE and A-Level subjects, and so I supply weekly quizzes for my students to test their knowledge. For my visual learners, I routinely create mind maps prior to my lessons, to aid their revision.
I am currently studying the Graduate Diploma in Law at City Law School, with the view to becoming a barrister. I teach English Literature, History and Politics for GCSE and A-Level students of all ages. I have also tutored International Relations and Politics at undergraduate level, and therefore can provide this service.
