About Glenford

I was born and raised in Nottingham, to a single parent Jamaican migrant mother. My upbringing has instilled in me strong community values, as I have a passion for helping people in the community. I have worked hard to overcome barriers of poverty, unemployment, low income, to achieve my goals in life. I have successfully obtained a Bachelor's of Law degree from the University of Derby, a TEFL Level 2 Award Higher Distinction qualification, a HSK Level 1A in Mandarin from the University of Nottingham, and GCSE English. I have previously worked as an Administrator, Business Support, Customer Service Advisor, IT Support for Nottingham City Council, Nottingham County Council, Nottingham City Homes, Capital One Bank, Avant Homes, Capita IT Services. I am also a musician, I have experience of teaching adults, music, drums. I have volunteering experience working in the Chinese community giving Legal Advice on Community Safety. I am also DBS vetted.

About the lesson

Lessons will be taught in a relaxed, fun way. You will learn how to communicate in English, in everyday situations. Conversation-driven teaching will be taught, which will help prepare you for real-life situations. Lessons will include practical exercises such as role-playing real-life situations, reading, writing, spelling, punctuation, and grammar. You will regularly be taught new words that will increase your confidence and English word vocabulary.
