About Philip
I struggled quite a bit in my First year at Law School before learning how to 'work smarter'. You always have to work hard anyway and you will learn this both in my lessons and in your life/career. Let me help you build confidence in yourself and in your ability to produce high quality work. A good tutor helps their students to become more autonomous and improves their personal effectiveness. I use a combination of a few teaching methods: 1. Problem-based approach: you will learn to improve your problem-solving ability and constantly polish your critical thinking ability. 2. Competency-based learning: you will learn at your own pace but we will set out to improve your personal effectiveness by focusing on outcomes and real-world performance. 3. Utilising Technology: this will focus on a 'work smarter, not harder' approach to learning and producing high quality work. 4. Thinking-based learning: you will learn to rely less on rote learning and learn how to develop a deeper understanding of your subject. This will enable a development of thought and reasoning, which will define your approach to tackling challenges head-on. Typical length of a lesson: 1 hour My Experience: tutored First-year to Third-year Law School students, LLM, and LPC, over the past two years. Also, 1 year experience teaching Year 11-13 (A Levels students).
