About Anise
I am a third year Law student offering English tuition for both primary and secondary level. I have experience in tutoring a range of students of different ages, helping them to achieve grades beyond their expectations. Additionally, by tutoring students through GCSE, National 5 and Higher level English, I am well-equipped to accommodate a wide range of students. I achieved 10 A*s and 1 A at GCSE level and at University, I have achieved a First Class in all of my modules so far. I would love to pass on my expertise and help my students accomplish their learning goals!

As a Law student at University who took History and English Literature at A level and completed an Extended Project Qualification, I have written a countless number of essays. I learnt that despite differences in individual writing styles, essay writing is formulaic. The content may change, however, understanding the fundamental principles of good academic writing, along with developing analytical and critical thinking skills will ensure your essays receive high marks. Developing these skills will not only help you succeed on the current task, but also in future challenges. I have assisted students in many subjects, including subjects for which I do not have specific content knowledge by focusing on improving the quality of the academic writing, organisation of research and structure of the essay.
My teaching style is adaptable and tailored to the needs and goals of students. I am happy to discuss individual texts and authors and I strive to encourage individuals to share their ideas and help to develop them. I am adept at editing and elevating pieces of writing and use real-time shared online documents to work collaboratively in this process. I am also able to discuss exam questions and essays with a view to improving performance. I have an encouraging, supportive and appropriately challenging teaching approach to ensure the best possible performance from each student and build confidence.

Anise is an amazing tutor. She is reliable and friendly. Her content is easy to understand and will support you at every stage!
Really really intelligent but not in a patronising way. Has a great way of explaining difficult topics and simplifying them. 10/10 would recommend to anyone whether you understand the subject and just need help with exam techniques or whether your understanding of the subject isn’t where you’d like it to be and you want help covering topics from the course.

Lessons may be cancelled 24 hours prior for no cost. Students who cancel within the 24 hour period will be charged half the price of one lesson. Those who do not show up for their lesson without notice will be charged full price.
