I prefer to make notes by breaking down the work, diagrams also work and mini tests after each lesson to see where and what exactly you struggle to understand. Also I like to explain things in my own words to have a better understanding of the course. I will randomly ask you questions to see if you're really paying attention, if you would like one on one sessions I will do that as well
