About Mia
I am half German and spend a large portion of my time speaking German at home. Speaking is the best way to get a grasp of the language and its something I love to spend time doing when I get the chance.
I also spend a lot of time reading and honestly really miss studying English literature but find tutoring to be the next best thing! I can't make you like English but I hope that my enjoyment of ut makes my lessons all the more interesting and engaging.

My name is Mia and I'm a first year Law with German Law student at the University of Oxford.
I studied English Literature (A*), History (A*) and German (A*) at A-Level and spent a year teaching English in a German boarding school before returning to the UK to start my degree.
(GCSE English Literature and English Language- grade 9 too)
I find that it's most important for you to understand the ins and outs of your assessments and turn up to your school lessons feeling confident to tackle whatever text or question that gets thrown at you.
I focus a lot of my tutoring around exam preparation and answering specific questions - the more you get used to the exam, the less scary it becomes and the faster and more natural you will sound in your essays, assessments and presentations. But of course it's important to put in the groundwork first.
For those of you that have oral assessments, don't panic, I am more than happy to support you in whatever way you need to jump that hurdle too.
