About Alyssa
I have been an Italian tutor since 2014 and I have my degree in Italian language culture and civilization from Hunter College in New York City. I have worked as a Tutor with Tutor Doctor for many years, as well as personal one on one private tutoring with both children, adolescents and adults from all ages ranging from 5 to 35 years old. During both high school and college I was president of the Italian club where I ran cultural and language events including cooking demonstrations and coffee and conversation meetings. During Covid I started my Online Italian Language Exchange, which was a weekly conversational meetup :)

My approach to teaching is a combination of methods through conversation and grammar workbook exercises with music and videos that we analyze. I try to personalize and tailor my lessons to your personal interests (i.e. cooking recipes, movies, songs, podcasts) to keep you motivated while also learning and expanding your interests.
